Welcome to the Ikeja Local Government Education Authority (LGEA) Secretariat, located in the heart of GRA Ikeja at the Ikeja Primary School Complex, Muiz Banire Street, GRA, opposite the Lagos State Police Command.

We are dedicated to providing quality education to the children of Ikeja Local Government Area, Onigbongbo LCDA, and Ojodu LCDA. Our team of experienced educators and support staff work tirelessly to ensure that every child receives a comprehensive and inclusive education, empowering them to succeed in life.

As the governing body for 33 primary schools, we are committed to excellence, equity, and access for all. We believe that every child deserves a bright future, and we work collaboratively with parents, teachers, and the community to make that vision a reality.

About Secretary

A Visionary Education Secretary

Comrade Amosu Akeem Abolore has been the Education Secretary of the Ikeja Local Government Education Authority since September 2018. In this role, he has made a significant impact on the education sector within the local government area.

As the Education Secretary, Comrade Amosu has been a driving force in implementing positive changes and initiatives that have significantly improved the quality of education. His unwavering dedication and passion for education have been evident in his tireless efforts to enhance the learning environment for both pupils teachers.

One of Comrade Amosu’s notable achievements has been his focus on improving infrastructure in the local government’s schools. He has overseen the renovation and upgrade of several school buildings, ensuring that students have access to modern and well-equipped classrooms. This has not only improved the physical learning spaces but has also contributed to boosting the morale and productivity of both students and teachers.

Furthermore, Comrade Amosu has placed a strong emphasis on teacher development and capacity building. He has spearheaded various training programs and workshops to equip educators with the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver effective and engaging lessons. This investment in the professional growth of teachers has had a positive ripple effect, as it has led to improved learning outcomes for students.

In addition to his role as the Education Secretary, Comrade Amosu Akeem Abolore has also made significant contributions at the state and national levels. He currently serves as the national president of the National Association of Education Secretaries in Nigeria (NAESN) from 2023 to the present day. In this capacity, he has been a strong advocate for the rights and welfare of education secretaries across the country, working tirelessly to address their concerns and ensure their voices are heard.

Comrade Amosu’s leadership and dedication have also been recognized at the state level, where he serves as the State Chairman of the NAESN in Lagos State. In this role, he has been instrumental in fostering collaboration and unity among education secretaries, ensuring that they have a unified platform to address the challenges and opportunities in the education sector.

As a youth with a deep passion for education, Comrade Amosu Akeem Abolore’s commitment to improving the quality of education in Ikeja Local Government and beyond is truly commendable.
